This sign sits in a church cemetery. The perplexing wording on this sign seems to violate the rules of English syntax. There seems to be no grammatical justification for using the adverb not in front the noun care. It would make more sense if it read: "No perpetual care." However, the sign has been in the cemetery for years, so apparently, no one has ever questioned the wording enough to modify the phrasing.
